What types of fishing trips do you offer?
We offer a range of guided trips, including inshore, nearshore, and seasonal scalloping charters. Whether you're targeting redfish, speckled trout, or just want a relaxing day on the Gulf, there's a trip suited for every skill level and interest.
What's included in a charter with Skipper’s Suwannee Gulf Charters?
Every trip includes all necessary fishing gear, tackle, bait, and licenses. We also provide bottled water, fish cleaning services, and expert guidance from a licensed local captain who knows the Suwannee waters like the back of his hand.
Do I need a fishing license?
No need to worry about that—your fishing license is covered under the captain’s charter license, so you're fully legal while on board.
What should I bring for the trip?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, snacks or lunch, non-alcoholic drinks, and a small cooler if you plan to take your catch home. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and non-marking shoes for comfort on the boat.
When is the best time to go fishing in Suwannee, Florida?
The best time depends on what you’re targeting. Spring through fall offers excellent inshore fishing for redfish and trout, while scalloping season runs from late June to early September. For milder weather and active bites, early mornings and weekdays are ideal.
Can kids and beginners join your fishing charters?
Absolutely! We welcome anglers of all ages and experience levels. Our captain is great with first-timers and families, making sure everyone has a safe and fun time on the water.
